JK Rowling announces open casting calls for new Harry Potter series

Author JK Rowling's Harry Potter series is all set to return as a television series. She shared an announcement of an open casting call for the roles of Harry Potter, Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley.

On X, JK Rowling shared a post about the 'open casting call' for the Harry Potter series, seeking children aged 9 to 11 from the United Kingdom and Ireland for the respective roles.

“Open casting call for children to play the roles of Harry Potter, Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley in the upcoming HBO Original series adaptation of ‘Harry Potter’,” the note read.
