Resting Manu Bhaker was not named in the Indian squad for the ISSF World Cup Final on September 12, Thursday. Rhythm Sangwan will be the sole Indian shooter participating in two events at the season-ending ISSF World Cup Final, set to take place from October 13 to 18 at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range.

The decision comes after double Olympic medallist Manu Bhaker decided to take a three-month break following her performances at the Paris Games. The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) announced a 23-member Indian squad for the tournament, which will cover rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines.

The team includes nine members from the Paris Olympics squad, which secured three bronze medals. A total of 11 Indian Olympians will compete alongside the world’s best shooters in 12 individual Olympic events.
